The rods are made of strong metal, the thickest in the shoe, which gets thinner and thinner until it reaches the very thin end.

How exactly the wire is bent between the rods depends on the size of the ring and the sharpness of the bend.

The bars are perfectly smooth, so you avoid scratches. Don’t apply too much force with these pliers – as the pliers are round, not flat, it is still possible to create small gaps in the wire.
